Strand School of the Arts - Instructors

Jennifer Forziati, Acting/Musical Theater:   Ms. Forziati studied Theatre and Arts Administration at Wagner College, where she minored in Dance.  Her dance training includes Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Fosse, Latin, Lyrical, Pointe and Swing.  She has worked professionally as both an actress and a choreographer.  Ms. Forziati’s teaching experience includes the Center Stage Dance and Theatre School, and the Paper Mill Playhouse Conservatory. 

Adam Recktenwald, Art:   Mr. Recktenwald earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a Major in Illustration and a Minor in English.  He completed his Master of Arts in Secondary Education from The College of New Jersey, and is a New Jersey State Certified Teacher of Art and Teacher of English.  He has served as an art instructor for various area summer programs, and is currently a High School teacher.  Mr. Recktenwald is a member of NJEA, NEA, and NCTE.

Lindsay Wood, Vocal Music:   Ms. Wood was named Director of Education at the Strand Theater in the spring of 2009.  She studied Music Education (K-12) at New York University, where her major instrument was voice and her secondary instrument was viola.  She is active in community theater and community orchestra groups, has performed as a soloist with NYU’s Choral Arts Society and the Highland Park Community Chorus, and was a professional chorus member with Princeton Pro Musica.  Ms. Wood is a member of MENC. 

Jessica Lopez, Musical Theater :  Ms. Lopez completed her B.A. in Theatre at Westminster College of the Arts, and is currently enrolled in the M.A. program at Montclair University.  In addition to many years of experience as a musical theater performer, both on a professional and community level, she has experience as a teacher, director and choreographer. Ms. Lopez’s acting experience also includes work in commercials and film.
