The Strand strives to make its performance and facilities accessible to all our patrons. For disability related accommodations, or to request alternative formats, please contact the Strand Business Office two weeks in advance of the performance at 732-367-7789, ext. 214.

Accessibility Information

  • Courtesy Wheelchairs - A courtesy wheelchair is available upon request. Please contact ask for the house manager upon arrival for use of the wheelchair. Currently we only have one available.

 

  • Parking - Designated accessible parking for vehicles bearing valid Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) disability parking placards or license plates is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is one available in front of the theater and two in the lot across 4th Street.

 

  • Accessible Seating - The theater has wheelchair- and scooter-accessible locations where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theater seats. Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to a theater seat should request wheelchair-accessible locations when ordering tickets.

 

  • Accessible Restrooms - We have three accessible restrooms in our lobby.

 

  • Large Print - Large Print programs are available with advance notice. Please make request when ordering your tickets.

 

  • Audio Describe Performances - Audio Description is available for select performance. Please speak to our box office for information available shows. The AD Logo will appear on any shows that the service will be available for.

 

  • TTY Relay Service - We are reachable through New Jerseys free Relay service at 1-800-852-7899. For more information go to www.njrelay.com

 

  • Assisted Listening Devices - We have inferred Assisted Listening Devices available for all performances, please ask for our house manager and we will provide you with a unit free of charge. Drivers license or car keys will need to be left as calataral for the unit.

 

  • Sign Language Interpretation - Sign Language Interpretation is available for select performance. Please speak to our box office for information available shows. The Sign Language Logo will appear on any shows that the service will be available for. Interpreters will be in front of Orchestra Left Section.

 

  • Captioned Performances - Captioning is available for select performance. Please speak to our box office for information available shows. The OC Logo will appear on any shows that the service will be available for.The Strand strives to make its performance and facilities accessible to all our patrons.
