Performers should have powerful lyrical voices. All characters need a standard British dialect unless otherwise indicated as Yorkshire. Even though the Yorkshire dialect is English, it is very unique and we will be using the Broad Yorkshire dialect from the North.

Ben Weatherstaff:
(40+, baritone) Head gardener, gruff yet kind. Yorkshire dialect.
Colin Craven:
(Must be able to play 10-12, boy soprano to E) Archibald’s bedridden son, spoiled, isolated.
